This book discusses the experiences of a transgender woman who is living the double life. Only a few people know that she is transgender, including Rex's parents and wife. However, she is rejected by those closest to her. Now Debbie must wear the Iron Mask, rigidly doing everything necessary to "pass" as a male. The mask has a happy smiling face on the outside, but has sharp points and edges that cause great pain.
This book is directed to the wives of cross-dressers, and transgender women, especially those who reveal their secret to their wives later in the marriage. There are sections that discuss domestic abuse that may be disturbing to some readers, however I have tried to minimize the explicit sections.
